Malia’s Life and Lens

Hello everyone! First of all, I would like to introduce myself, my name is Malia Pato but some of my friends call me Aya or Lia. I live in Paing, Bantay, Ilocos Sur, I’m 14 years old and turning 15 on October 17. I’m studying at Ilocos Sur National High School and I’m part of the SSC/STE program. My parents are Mr. and Mrs. Sammy Pato, my father is working as a mechanic while my mother is a sales clerk. I’m the elder sister of a 5 years old little girl. When I was a kid, I used to aspire to become a successful doctor, because I want to help others.

I will improve my self-confidence by stop comparing myself to others. I should surround myself to others. I should surround myself with positivity, cultivating positive thoughts can serve as a good foundation. I should learn to step outside of my comfort zone, in order to achieve personal growth and so that i can improve my self-confidence. Improving oneself is one of the steps in reaching and fulfilling my dreams. And by accepting negative comments positively. By doing, this i will be able to improve my self-confidence.

Lastly, ever since i was a kid, I always dreamt of becoming a successful doctor someday. I don’t know why I choose this profession but as the days go by, I found out and realize that I want to help people especially the poor ones, those people who don’t have the resources to seek medical treatment especially those who live in rural areas away from the civilization. Fight every battle and trials as I travel the path of reaching it and be able to serve and help the people in need. I will try my best in everything I can, in order to reach what I always dreamt of. I’m praying that this dream will be fulfilled someday
