Before Vigan achieved cityhood, it was a quiet municipality that relied heavily on its historical and cultural significance to draw attention. Today, Vigan is a dynamic city that successfully merges its colonial past with modern growth. It’s a bustling hub of culture and tourism, where the old and new coexist in harmony. Its historical landmarks, like the iconic Calle Crisologo, continue to draw visitors from all over the world, while the city has improved its amenities to accommodate a growing population. Local festivals, such as the Longganisa Festival, celebrate Vigan’s rich traditions and promote a strong sense of community. Vigan now stands as a city that not only honors its history but also looks toward a future of continued growth and cultural preservation
